Heels Down Day!

We arrived in Villafranca del Bierzo. We are in the municipal albergue.

Today was listed as difficult and difficult it was! The climb today
was beautiful. It was foggy and cold. I also found I did not much care
for the down which followed the up! It was too steep for my liking. I
made it down. Woo hoo!

We pedaled our way to the industrial town of Ponteferada (sp? - I
don't have my map in front of me right now.). We followed our very
beloved yellow arrows and shells through the city. They are great
because they get you through a big city without a map and, generally,
pretty quickly.

We were not as fortunate today. While we were able to take a break
from the sun, the rain did not cooporate as of did yesterday. While
riding through Ponteferada, the rain started; and it rained on us for
the next three hours. We decide to stop in Villafranca due to being a
little and getting cold not to mention my legs were about done for the
day.

Our albergue is fine. It is on the bigger side. AND, the best thing is
that they have a washer and a dryer so we can get all of our wet and
dirty clothes clean and dry. We are forgoing food so we do not loose
our place in line. We are eating our snacks. It really makes you
appreciate the little things!

Signing off from Day 9!
